James Anderson, Sr.

James (Jim) Anderson Sr., of Hilliard, Ohio passed away with his family by his side on July 8^th, 2023 at the age of 81. He was born August 18^th, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the son of the late Albert Anderson and Marjorie Staggs.

Jim was the beloved husband of Sandra Anderson. He is also survived by siblings, Connie Jones (Claude) and William Anderson; brother-in-laws Ray Peebles, Robin Bragg (Beth) and William Bragg; his children, Diana Miller (Don), James Anderson Jr., Trisha Fisher (Kenny); grandchildren, Ashley Brown, Tara Wittenhagen (Emmanuel), Brandon Wittenhagen (Imoni), Amber Bertosh (Michael), Logan Colvin (Isaiah), and Breanna Anderson. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews in Ohio, Tennessee, Colorado, and Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; son; Brian Anderson; siblings Gary Anderson, Jerry Anderson, Myra Peebles; brother-in-law, David Bragg and granddaughter, Jessica Money.

Jim spent his free time enjoying fishing, mushroom hunting, spending time with his family and driving anywhere for vacation. He worked very hard throughout his life and was known as an amazing painter and skilled craftsman. He could build anything he put his mind to and fix anything that was broken. He was passionate about sports and rarely missed a game on TV. He loved rooting for The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cincinnati Reds. He also had an uncanny love for any word search he could get his hands on.

Jim will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor and kind nature. He was selfless and had an unwavering loyalty to his family and friends. He had the biggest heart and made an impact on many lives. Jim had an unforgettable personality and those who knew him will never forget the memories they shared with him.  He will be forever missed by all.

A Memorial will be held on August 18^th, 2023 (Jim's birthday) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Gantz Park (2255 Home Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123).
