Iva Walker Sheets, age 89, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Ohio Living Sarah Moore Center in Delaware, Ohio. She was born in Franklin County, Ohio on September 2, 1934 to Francis and Amey (Orahood) Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gerald Walker, her sister, Lois Combs, sister-in-law, Betty Walker and brother-in-law, William White. Iva is survived by her children, Liz Sheets, Denise (Doug) Grow and Colleen (Scott) Shaw; her grandchildren, Amber Starr, Sasha Baltazar, Stephen Taylor-Rowe Sheets, Colin James Sheets Rowe, Hayley Shaw and Troy (Brittany) Shaw; her great grandchildren, Tyana, Bodhi, E’niyah, E’mauria and Kamdyn; and her sister, Joanne White and brother-in-law, Loren Combs.

Iva loved all things gardening. Whether vegetables or flowers, she loved tilling the soil to make her world a colorful place. Coming from her family roots, she enjoyed harness racing. She was also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys fan. The family will be wearing OSU attire during visitation and asks everyone to feel free to do so too.

The family will receive friends at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH. Visitation is Thursday, April 11 from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be Friday, April 12 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery , Plain City.
