Irene Kelley

Irene Kelley, 101, of Hilliard, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025.

She was a homemaker and the mother of six. Irene was a member of Bexley Women’s Club. She and her husband, Phil, were beloved members of West Jefferson United Methodist Church where Irene was a part of the Women’s Bible Study. They were married for 74 years.

She is survived by her children, John (Pat) Kelley, Phyllis Chorpenning, Jim (Janet) Kelley, Nancy (Roger) Wickert, Tom (Connie) Kelley, and David (Pam) Kelley, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

For the last 7 years she has been a resident of Stone Oak Retirement Community in Hilliard, OH. Living independently in an apartment, she was proud to be the oldest resident at Stone Oak and the only resident ever to reach the age of 101. She participated in many activities including crafts & painting. She very much enjoyed the entertainment evenings such as The Sweet Adelines and other vocal artists.

Friends will be received for visitation at Tidd Family Funeral Home- times are pending, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026. A private family interment service will follow. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Jefferson Good Samaritan Food Pantry.
