Irene Beaver

Irene Gladith (Salyer) Beaver, age 95, of Hilliard, OH left this earthly realm to be with the Lord on January 24th, 2017. Affectionately known as ‘Granny’ by many was born October 13th, 1921 in Flat Gap, KY. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Teresa (Estep) Salyer, her siblings (Ethel (Salyer) Rose, Lunda Salyer, Trimble Salyer, and Aaron “Peanut” Salyer), her husband, Raymond F. Beaver, her sons (Melvin Ray Neighbor and Darrell E. Beaver), and her stepdaughter, Marcia Beaver. She is survived by her two sons, Terry Neighbor of Beavercreek, OH and Bill Beaver of Hilliard, OH; her daughter, Donna (Robert) Vandegrift of Galloway, OH; her stepson, Dewey “Butch” Beaver of Columbus, OH; 13 grandchildren (Michelle (Philip) Mathias, Tina (Michael) Shields, Terry (Brittany) Moerch, Carol (Randy) Gebhardt, Michael Neighbor, Jeromy Neighbor ); 18 great-grandchildren (Nikita (John) Unverzagt, Ryan Phillips, Nikiya Coburn, Triston Mathias, Amber Shields, Jessica Shields, Amanda Moerch, Alexis Orlando, Nick Orlando, Justin Neighbor, Colin Neighbor, Amanda Moerch, Kaytie Moerch, Mason Thompson, Vance Moerch, Alden Moerch ); great-great-children (Matthew Shields); as well as a host of family and friends whom loved her dearly. Family will receive family and friends on Monday January 30th, 2017 from 12-1 & 1-2 at The Tidd Funeral Home 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026. There will be no funeral service just a showing. Burial of Granny will follow shortly after 2pm to the Cemetery.
