Herbert Wade

Herbert M. Wade, age 82, of Hilliard, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He retired from Overnite Transportation after 13 ½ years of service. Member of Hayden Baptist Church where he served as a trustee, taught Sunday School, and drove the church van. The congregation affectionately nicknamed him “the gofer”. Preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and Jim Wade; sister, Florence Jean; brothers, Jim and Howard; and half-brother, Wayne. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy; children, John (Patty) Wade, Lester (Bambi) Wade, Brenda (Barry) Mays, and Larry Wade; sister, Marjory Bullock; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; along with many loving relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Sunday from 4-7 PM at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday at HAYDEN BAPTIST CHURCH 6729 Hayden Run Rd. Hilliard, OH 43026 with Pastor Bill Webb officiating. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
