Helen Anne Beyer

June 8, 1932 – January 12, 2024

Our dear Mom, Helen, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the age of 91.

She was greatly loved by her surviving children: Lynn (Joe), Helen Lee (Chris), Chuck (Kristina), and Cliff (Vicki); and grandchildren: Tim (Giulia), Jamie (Jonathan), Gary (Vanessa), and Garth (Briana), and her five great-grandchildren, as well as, her sister, Mary.  Originally from Chicago, IL, Helen resided in Columbus, OH near her eldest son and family for the past ten years.

Helen always loved family first and was a devout ‘MamaBear’ , as we called her.  Along with her beloved husband of fifty years, Chuck Sr., our parents gave their all to nourish a supportive, happy family life.  Helen’s work life included twenty-five years at JCPenney before retiring.  She ‘rose up the ranks’ to Manager level there, an accomplishment she was duly proud of.

Helen could surprise you with her quick sense of humor – she was fun!  Also, she was never afraid to stand up for what she felt wasn’t right … and she could get feisty about it!  She was a ‘trooper’ through any challenge she faced  in life.  When called a ‘SuperHero’,  she’d say, “Oh… I’m just stubborn!”  Helen had fun being a ‘Fashionista’ and loved to shop – always keeping her family ‘looking good’ too!  She loved family dinners and card games, chocolate and roses, and Angels and butterflies.

We are thankful she is now in Everlasting Peace and thankful for all the special, wonderful memories she left us.

Her kind, generous, gentle soul and special spirit will be cherished always.

An intimate family memorial will take place in the following weeks.

Memorial Donations may be made to Helen’s favorite organizations listed below.
