Harold Stout

In loving memory of our kind, loving, and generous father, Harold Stout, who passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age 90 of natural causes at The Inn at Library Way in Hilliard, Ohio. 

He was born in Martin, Kentucky and moved to Columbus, Ohio at the age of 16 where he met and married Patricia Ann Holland on December 28, 1956. He came to know Christ soon after meeting Patty. 

He tested into The Ohio State University with only a ninth grade education and graduated from OSU in 1959.  Harold was truly the biggest Buckeye fan ever.  

He was married to Patty for 44 years. They loved to cook together, play golf, and travel with their kids. He was a wonderful father to David Stout, Karen Thompson (Bruce Thompson), and Timothy Stout whom he loved unconditionally. 

He started working for Accurate Glass and Mirror in 1965 and purchased and ran the company until 1987 when he retired. 

He loved golf and was a member of Oakurst Country Club where he made many friends. 

Patty passed away in 2000, and he married long-time friend Rachel Gorman and they were married for 23 years. They also loved to golf and travel, and they lived their retired life in Grove City. Rachel passed in 2023. 

Harold’s beautiful grandchildren are Aimee Little (Tyler Little), Jaymee Hierro (Zach Hierro), Jacey Roberson (David Roberson), Benjamin Thompson (Jillian Thompson), Joseph Stout (Ashley Stout), Megan Smith (Steven Smith), Tommi Thompson. His great grandchildren are Charlee, Cece, Haddy, Holland, Kinley, Noah, Evelyn, Barrett, Micah, Levi, Emma, Hunter, and Allie. 

Our family would love to thank The Inn at Library Way for all of the loving care he received while living there. 

Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 3-5pm with a service at 5pm at Tidd’s Funeral Home in Hilliard. Reception to follow at The Tremont Club (4600 Tremont Club Dr Hilliard, Ohio). All are welcome.
