Gerald N. “Jerry” Wood, age 77, of Hilliard, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022. US Air Force Veteran. He retired from the State of Ohio. Jerry was an avid Buckeye fan and runner; he ran a total of 29 marathons that include Boston, NY and Columbus. Preceded in death by parents Gerald Wood and Betty Glaze, grandmother Angie Laney and brother Jim Johnson. Survived by former wife and caregiver Ruth Wood, cousins Jennifer (Richard) Kile and Logan Kile, special nephew James (Geek) Johnson, special friends Dave and Michelle Penney and Matthew and Caleb Penney, brothers Fred Glaze and Ray Wood, many loving and close friends at the Ashford of Sturbridge. Family will receive friends 11am-12pm Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 12pm.
