George Wahl

George Wahl, age 81, of Dubin, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was born on March 22, 1944, to the late Carl and Elizabeth (Arheit) Wahl.

George graduate from The Ohio State University with a BS degree in Agricultural/Economics. He then worked for Big Bear Stores for 30 years as a Buyer/Merchandiser. He also spent 1 year working with Penn Traffic Grocery, Syracuse, N.Y. After his retirement, George worked part time at Lowes. George is a past President of Upper Arlington Booster Club and a former Deacon at the North Broadway United Methodist Church. He also assisted with the Upper Arlington Baseball Association for some time.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Elizabeth (Arheit) Wahl and his sister, Geraldine Wahl.

George is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Jane (Smith) Wahl, his children, Eric M. (Elizabeth) Wahl and Jeffrey C. (Erin) Wahl, siblings, Jeanette (Wahl) Gandhi and Pravin Arlene (Wahl) Schriner and Bob, grandchildren, Grace Wahl, Olivia Wahl, Zoe Wahl, Charlotte Wahl, and Finnegan Wahl, as well as other close relatives, Joan and Jack Arnold, James Smith II, and John and Davar Smith.

George's family invites you to a visitation to celebrate his life on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026. The visitation will begin at 6:00PM and end at 8:00PM.
