George Hamby

George Raymond Hamby, age 85, of Dublin, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 at Dublin Methodist Hospital. George is an U.S. Navy Veteran; he is retired from Westinghouse and attended Hayden Enterprise Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by wife, Betty; parents, Green and Edna; stepson, Jerry Spangler; brothers and sisters. He is survived by sons, Rickie (Amy) Hamby of Plain City, Ronald (Carla) Hamby of Plain City; stepdaughter, Sherry Buffington of PA; sister, Zella (Ralph) Adams of Howard; grandchildren, Crystal (Matt) Rice, Aaron Hamby, Jamie (Steven King) Hamby, Julie (Saul) Lugo, Todd (Jennie) Statczar, Trent (Kristal) Statczar, and Troy (Kelly) Statczar; Great grandchildren, Mason, Kyle, Matthew, Steven, Logan, Hayden, Austin, Alexandra, Madeline, Sophia, Grant, Zach, Molly, Claire and Troy. Friends may call Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, where funeral service will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. Reverend Bill Webb officiating.
