Gary Gibbs

Gary Gibbs, 72, passed away suddenly on February 1, 2026 in his home. Gary was born on July 19, 1953, in Wauseon, OH to the late George Gibbs and the late Vivian Marks. In 1963, his mother married Curtis Marks and he moved to the Marks’ family dairy farm near Lyons, OH for a new adventure. Gary was active in FFA and student council during his school years and graduated from Evergreen High School in 1971. He eventually moved to the Columbus area where he worked in the printing business until his retirement.

Gary loved boating and playing and watching tennis. He took pride in everything he did and was always available to lend an ear and give advice.

Surviving Gary is his stepsister Judy (Jerry) Sutter (Parma, MI), stepbrother Roger (Gayla) Marks (Las Vegas, NV), step sister-in-law Pat Marks (Wauseon, OH), and best friend Tanis Hutchison plus many step-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father George Gibbs, his mother Vivian Marks, stepfather Curtis Marks, stepbrother John Marks, Sr., and his beloved dog and pal Boz.

The family welcomes friends for a Funeral Service on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 1:00pm, at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 NORWICH STREET, HILLIARD, OHIO, 43026, with Pastor Phil Conrad officiating.  

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
