Elizabeth "Betty" Justine Strack

Elizabeth “Betty” Justine Strack, age 97, of Hilliard, Ohio, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Born in Cincinnati to the late Edward and Evelyn Newmann, she was a graduate of Mother of Mercy High School in Cincinnati. She married the love of her life, Eugene L. Strack in 1950 and they raised their family in the Western Hills-Bridgetown area, before moving to Hilliard in 2005. Betty was the secretary for her husband’s company, Strack Scale Service, and later volunteered at Heartbeat International. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, who passed in 2011, and by her siblings, Sr. Joan Newmann, R.S.M., and William Edward Newmann.

Betty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Susan and Larry Dammann, her granddaughters: Laura (Chris) Manz, and Jill (Shaun) Evans, and by her great-grandchildren: Chace Evans, Kenley Evans, and Emmy Evans.

Family will welcome friends from 11:00a.m.-12:00p.m FRIDAY, AUGUST 14, 2026 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722, where her Memorial Service will follow the visitation and begin at 12:00p.m. FRIDAY with Pastor Chris Tomaso, officiating.
