Eleanor A. Atkeson

Eleanor A. ATKESON, age 99, of Dublin, Ohio, died Friday, October 11, 2019.   Eleanor’s zest for life kept her young. She was born October 5, 1920, to Alexander and Alice Kriloff.  Eleanor grew up in New York City, with special interests and training in art, swimming, clothing design, fabric design.  She was an excellent seamstress. On May 22, 1943, she married Karl C. Atkeson, II, who preceded her in death. Karl and Eleanor settled in Columbus, Ohio, to raise their three sons – Karl, III; Edward, now of Albany, NY; and George, now of Kalamazoo, MI.   Eleanor is survived by her three sons, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and so many cherished friends.   

On April 16, 1950, Eleanor was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She found special joy in upholding Bible principles and in sharing scriptures with those she met.  A memorial for Eleanor is scheduled for 4 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 3333 Main Street, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jehovah’s Witnesses at jw.org or mailed to The Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 800 Red Mills Road, Wallkill, NY 12589.
