Edward M. Butauski

Edward “Ed” Butauski, age 61, of Hilliard, passed away December 25, 2022. Graduate of Strongsville High School and educated at University of Cincinnati. Ed was a lover of sports, especially all things Cleveland, Ohio State and UC basketball. He enjoyed being outdoors and his superstitious sports rituals. He loved spending time with his daughter and family, eating, cooking, reading and debating everything. Survived by his daughter Maria (Abi) Butauski, parents Ed and Mary Butauski, siblings John (Sheila) Butauski, Joe (Peggy) Butauski, Terri (Howard) Gear, Michael (Blanca) Butauski, Steve Butauski, and Greg (Jill) Butauski, nephew Joseph, nieces Katie, Maria, Sara, Paige, Meagan, Brynn, and Brooke. Family will receive friends 4-7 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where a Celebration of Life service will be held 6:30 pm and then a vigil service at 7 pm. A Graveside service will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Resurrection Cemetery, Valley City, OH. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, April 29, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Strongsville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hilliard Food Pantry.
