Edgar E. Weaver, age 76 of Mt. Sterling went to meet the Lord this day of April 26, 2010 after a long illness. He was born May 1, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio.
Edgar was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict; retired truck driver of thirty-five years; Mt. Sterling School crossing guard. He was very proud of being a part of the congregation of The East Lake Holiness Church in East Lake, N.C.
Preceded in death by two sons, Michael E. Weaver and Brian W. Weaver; parents Edgar L. & Ruth M. Weaver; 3 brothers Edwin Weaver, Robert Weaver, & Robert V. Johnson; 2 sisters Masie Bell and Ethel Baker; niece Ruth A. Kessler and nephew Jon Kessler.
Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Beverly Weaver; daughter Cheryl L. (Robert) Rolfe; grandson Robert T. Rolfe; granddaughters Amy M. and (Jonathan Stahl), Anndria S. and (Jason Mitchell); 7 great grandchildren Robert T. Rolfe, Jr., Natalie I. Rolfe, Benjamin R. Rolfe, Kristin Burgoon, Dustin Burgoon, Jacob M. Stahl and Kelci M. Mitchell; special niece & nephew Sue and Rodney Gibbs; nieces Sally A. Meade & Tina Colter; many nieces & nephews, and a host of friends.
A Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2010 in Pleasant Cemetery. A military service will be performed by the Circleville Amvets Post #2256. A Visitation will be held Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling from 2 – 5 p.m.
