Douglas Gray Minton

Douglas Gray Minton, 49, passed away on April 24, 2023.   A memorial gathering will be held at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 on SUNDAY, APRIL 30^thfrom 2-5pm.  His Memorial Mass will be held at SAINT BRENDAN THE NAVIGATOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, OH 43026 on TUESDAY, MAY 2, 2023 at 10:30am. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in North Canton.

He graduated from North Canton Hoover High School in 1992, earned a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Bowling Green State University and was an active member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

Doug and beloved wife, Christine, were blessed with two beautiful children, Ethan Gray (11) and Alyssa Marie (9). His children were his pride and joy, and he could always be found cheering them on at their Cub Scout, swim team, and gymnastics meets or watching them practice Taekwondo and piano.

Doug was known for his infectious smile and wry sense of humor.  He never met a stranger and was the first to offer a helping hand. He had a passion for volunteering and was actively involved in his community; always ready to lend his time and talents to those in need.  Doug loved the Halloween season - from his life-like costumes to the elaborate way he decorated their home.

Doug is survived by his wife Christine, his children Ethan and Alyssa, his sister Laura Marie (Craig Jackson) Minton, his step-brother Tom (Cari) McDermott, step-mother Judy Minton, father-in-law Dr. David “Doc” Howard, sister-in-law Andrea (David) Shields.  He was predeceased in death by his father, Keith, mother, Nancy, and mother-in-law, Joyce Howard.

Doug will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.
