Donald Carter

Donald Wayne Carter I, age 81, of Grove City, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017. Donald was of Baptist Faith and a US Air Force Veteran retiring with 21 years of service. Donald retired from J.B. Hunt as a truck driver. Preceded in death by parents Milton and Hazel Carter and daughter Connie Petritis. Survived by loving wife Patti, children Ruby (James) Southcott, Donald Wayne (Dawn) Carter II, Jean Landuyt, Walter Ruffin Hemphill, Penny Hemphill, Kathie (Jeff) Robertson, Shannon (Joey Wooten) Kanniard and Sheryl Kannaird, son-in-law Joseph Petritis, many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephew Pat Carter; nieces Cathy Rech, April Barker, and Donna Warner; numerous loving relatives and friends. Following Donald’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the the V.F.W. at 1010 High St. Harrisburg, OH 43126.
