Dickie Lee Slone

Dickie Lee Slone, age 68, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Doctor’s West Hospital in Columbus.  He was born in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Selse Slone and Ruth Slone Hughes.  Dickie worked after his retirement at Walmart on Georgesville Road for many years.  He was the “Greeter” that everyone loved and he loved the people!  In addition to his parents, Dickie was preceded in death by his son Robert Slone, his grandson Jordan Grooms and his sisters Dottie Slone and Shirley Collier.  Dickie is survived by his son Michael (Christina) Slone, daughter Ruthann (Marc) Hurley, his six grandchildren: Taylor, Brandon, Justin, Zack, Jessica and Jakob, his great-grandchildren: Gracyn, Aiden and Kristen, his brothers and sisters: Donna (Dillard) Bailey, David Slone, Keith Slone, Sheila (Joe) Bailey and Joe (Theresa) Slone, and many other loving family members and friends.  Family will receive friends from 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23, 2021 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722.  Private family burial will be held.  Please visit www.tiddfuneralservice.com to share your favorite memories of Dickie and to send your condolences to his family.
