Diann Maddox

Diann Maddox, of Columbus passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the age of 75.  Diann was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 24, 1947 to William Vernon and Sophie Vernon-Nickoloff.

Diann was many things, but there was nothing she loved more than being a mother to her beloved son Scott, and sharing her love with family and friends.  Some of her proudest moments were watching her son graduate, get married, and having the pleasure of watching her grandchildren grow.  Diann also loved the beach and being able to swim and play with the kids.  She enjoyed ceramics and the beauty of the colors, and teaching C.C.D. for the children.

Diann is preceded in death by both her mother and father, William (Bill) and Sophie (Nickoloff) Vernon, husbands, Roy Maddox of 25 years and Jerry Boyer of 29 years, and her sister in law, Suzy Vernon.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Scott and Jennifer Maddox, brother, Mike Vernon, her granddaughters, Alexandria and Nickolette, nephews, Vincent (Becky) Vernon, and Jason (Danielle) Vernon, her special person, Mack Wilson and very close friends Cathy McSweeny, Linda, Brian Glick, Barb Bell, Lucy McCabe, Susan Darling, Jean Agresti and Gloria.

Arrangements by Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, where family will receive friends, and visitation will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, Wednesday, June 28.  Funeral service will be Thursday, June 29 at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church, 434 Norton Road, Columbus, OH 43228 with interment following the funeral service at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 West Broad street, Galloway Ohio 43119.
