Delbert Black

Delbert Black, age 82, of Columbus, passed away September 23, 2023. Delbert retired from General Motors as a Tool and Die maker after 42 years and was a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed working on projects around the house and traveling with his wife. Preceded in death by parents Wilmer and Maxine Black, sister Charlotte Quigley and brother Paul Black. Survived by loving wife Anita of 46 years, children Lisa (Steve) Gramlich, Lori Anderson, Jeff Hockingberry and Gary (Jennifer) Hockingberry, grandchildren James, Amber, Dustin, Sarah and Jonathan, great grandchildren Ally, Ayden, Bentley and Jessa. Family will receive friends Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 9:30am-10:00am at the HILLIARD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 5445 Scioto Darby Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 10am with Pastor Jon Osmundson officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hilliard United Methodist Church.
