David Matthew Friermood

David Matthew Friermood, age 43, of Dublin, passed away December 13, 2021. David graduated from Bishop Watterson High School, Class of 1997 and University of Findlay with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. David had a very kind heart and cared for others, he always wanted everyone to feel good and have a good time. Memorialized forever is the “great big bear hugs” Dave would give to just about anyone, Dave never met a stranger and had an infectious smile and outgoing personality. No one ever had to wonder if Dave was in a room, as he filled every space with belly laughter and larger than life storytelling. Dave loved to dance and break out into spontaneous song, especially if karaoke was involved. Dave had a particular infatuation with Frank Sinatra and his many classic songs. Sinatra has a famous quote: “I would like to be remembered as a man who had a wonderful time living his life, and who had good friends, a fine family. I don’t think I could ask for anything more than that, actually." All who knew Dave would agree he would want to be reminisced as a embodiment of this quote, as well as many other timeless lyrics of his favorite musician. David is Preceded in death by grandparents Robert Crotty, Forrest and Violet Friermood, uncle Doug Steck and cousin Jason Stewart, Godfather Timothy Crotty. Survived by parents Michael and Evelyn Friermood, children Chloe and Sophia Friermood and their mother Nikki, brother Denny (Bethany) Friermood, sister Melissa Friermood, nieces Ayva and Brynn Friermood, numerous loving relatives and close friends. In lieu of flowes, memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for his daughters Chloe (age 11) and Sophia (age 8).  Checks for College Memorial fund are made payable to: Ohio Tuition Trust Authority, and can be given during visitation, or mailed directly to Melissa Friermood,1556 Trentwood Road, Upper Arlington, OH, 43221.

Family will receive friends 5:30p.m.-7:30p.m. TUESDAY at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30a.m. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 22, 2021 at ST. BRENDAN THE NAVIGATOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, OH 43026 with Father Bob Penhallurick, Celebrant.
