David Bird

David Bird, age 69, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. He was born on May 2, 1954 in Akron, Ohio. David graduated from Norton High School and pursued a BS degree in Pharmacy from The Ohio State University. He was a kind, funny and caring man: Always willing to help with a smile on his face. A husband, father and grandfather, David had a deep love for his family. His family was his greatest joy, especially watching them excel in academics, sports and all walks of life. Grandpa was the biggest fan cheering them on and supporting them in every way. His family will miss him but forever be grateful for the time we had him in our lives. David was preceded in death by his father Russell. He leaves behind his mother, Shirley of Norton, Ohio, Denise, his loving wife of 45 years, his two sons Brad (wife Beth) of Hilliard, Ohio, Brent of Lewis Center, Ohio, his grandchildren Eli, Adelyn, Tyler and Clara, his brother Dennis (wife Cheryl) Bird, his sisters Sheryl (husband Donald) Scalf, Patti (husband Mel) Bowsher and his many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends and his grand-dog Lola. No services are planned and cremation has taken place. Those wishing to donate in his memory are encouraged to contribute to any charity that helps make this world a better place.
