Darlene M. Davis

Darlene, 82, passed away at her assisted living facility in Hilliard, OH. She struggled with dementia for the past two years. She was the owner/ operator of Darlene’s Hair Design for 30 years. She was born and raised in Scottown, OH (Greasey Ridge) with two older sisters. She spent her entire adult life in the Columbus area.

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Angela Pest (David), Suffolk, VA. She always said David was like a son to her. She has two granddaughters, Rachel Pest of Glen Allen, VA, and Grace Davis of Ashtabula, OH. Her sister, Shirley Festa of Hilliard, OH; a niece and nephew, Paula Daedalow (Rich) of New Albany, and Phillip Festa of Columbus.

She was the daughter of Maxine and Herbert Callicoat. She is preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Kohlesser; her former husband, James Davis; a nephew, Carl Nance; and a brother-in-law, Carl Festa.

Her beloved son, James Shannon Davis, passed away in 2016. She grieved terribly for him and was never the same.

She had many friends, most notably Kathy Nicholson (Wayne) and Mertie Walker.

Much gratitude to Carriage Court Assisted Living, where she lived for two years. They were very supportive, loving, and caring toward her. Also, to Transitions Hospice Care, who provided her with comfort care over the last month of her life.

Grave site service at Alton Cemetery, 6725 Alkire Road, Galloway, Ohio, on April 29th at 10:00AM.
