It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Connie Middendorf beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on November 16, 2025, at the age of seventy-seven.
Born on November 12, 1948, in Columbus, Connie was a light to everyone who knew her—kind, steady, and endlessly compassionate. She met the love of her life, Michael Middendorf in high school, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in laughter, devotion, and unwavering partnership. Their love story, which began in the hallways of Hilliard High School, blossomed into a marriage that stood as an example of true commitment and enduring friendship for over fifty-eight years.
Connie was the proud and devoted mother of Joe and Michelle (Mikie), to whom she gave her whole heart. Her home was always filled with warmth, love, and the aroma of her favorite recipes. Her compassion towards others will continue to guide them.
A woman of quiet strength, Connie lived her life guided by love and gratitude. She touched countless lives with her kindness and left an indelible mark on her family, friends, and community.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Michael Middendorf; her children, Joseph Middendorf and Michelle (Mikie) Middendorf; siblings Carol (Kurt) Landefeld, Sally (Dan) Badgley, Sue (Dan) Blanchette, Judy Hood, John Spencer, brother-in-law Chey (Kristi) Middendorf along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by Janet and Bob Spencer (parents) and David Spencer (brother).
A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on a further date. As expression of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio.
