Rev. Clyde E. Adkins, born May 16, 1921 went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 23, 2007. Member of Hayden Enterprise Baptist Church. WWII Veteran US Marine. Founder of Adkins Barber Shop and Hilliard Free Will Baptist Church. Retired Maintenance Supervisor from F & R Lazarus. Preceded in death by parents Oscar and Minerva Mullins Adkins, brothers Everett, Ossie, Leo and Wayne Adkins, sisters Elaine Adkins, Sylvia Jackson, Madge Brobst and Christine Wilcox, first wife Martha Jane Latham Adkins 1984,granddaughter Valerie Kay Adkins, and second wife Geneva Horn Adkins 2006. Survived by sister Mary Ball, brother Ron Adkins, sons Dr. Larry (Natalie) Adkins, Lee (Rose) Adkins, daughter Hazel (Jim) Sanderson, grandchildren Sally Readd, Brian (Andrea) Adkins, Debbie (Don) Kelly, Jeff (Becky) Adkins and Stephanie (David) Baldwin, great grandchildren Samantha Smith, Alexandria Readd, Megan and Emma Adkins, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Friends may call 3-7 pm Friday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday at Hayden Enterprise Baptist Church, 6729 Hayden Run Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026 with Pastor Bill Webb officiating. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hayden Enterprise Baptist Church.
