Christopher Canaday

Christopher Canaday, age 73 of Columbus passed away on Friday October 14, 2022, at Riverside Methodist hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Chris retired from Uncle Sam’s Pawn shop in 2018, as the general manager, after 40 years with the business. He was a graduate of West High School (class of 1967) and attended The Ohio State University. His favorite hobby was collecting and refurbishing Chelsea ship clocks and loved the music of Bob Dylan and Tom Petty.

Chris was born in Columbus, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Canaday and Dorothy (French) Canaday. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deborah (Kalemtis) Canaday, his daughter Alexandra (Canaday) Kormanik, son Austin Canaday, two grandsons, Gage Canaday and Evan Kormanik, sister Candace Scribner and brother Craig and his wife Jayne Canaday, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends and family for Chris on Thursday October 27, 2022, from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Tidd Funeral Home 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, Ohio 43026.
