Cheryl Jordan, age 78, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on October 28, 2026. Born on September 13, 1948, in Kenton, Ohio, to Marvin and Della Jean Hall, Cheryl lived a life filled with love, laughter, friendship, and a wonderful enthusiasm for bringing people together. With her beautiful smile, jovial spirit, and generous heart, she had a natural gift for making others feel welcome. She found joy in life’s everyday pleasures and had a special way of turning even the simplest occasions into something worth celebrating.
Cheryl shared 49 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Greg Jordan. Together, they built a life centered on family, friendship, and cherished traditions. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother to her son, Andrew, a caring mother-in-law to Kinga, and an adoring grandmother to Penelope. Her family was her greatest source of pride and happiness, and she treasured every opportunity to share in their lives, from meaningful milestones to the ordinary moments that often become the most precious memories.
Giving back to her community was an important part of Cheryl’s life. For more than 20 years, she was actively involved with Twig 219, a volunteer organization supporting Nationwide Children’s Hospital, which she helped establish. Her dedication to helping children and families was matched by the lasting friendships she formed along the way. During the Christmas season, Cheryl could often be found volunteering at the Festival of Trees, sharing her time, creativity, and enthusiasm for a cause close to her heart.
Cheryl was a natural entertainer who never needed much of an excuse to bring people together. She loved hosting gatherings, filling a room with conversation and laughter, and making sure everyone was having a wonderful time. From Pampered Chef parties to CAbi clothing gatherings, she delighted in creating opportunities for friends to connect, discover something new, and enjoy one another’s company. Her cheerful, outgoing personality made her a joy to be around, and she was often at the heart of the fun.
Creative, curious, and always ready for a new experience, Cheryl enjoyed crafting and exploring a variety of hobbies and activities. Of course, anyone who knew her understood that before taking up a new sport, beginning a craft, or embarking on an adventure, there was one essential detail to settle first: finding the perfect outfit. For Cheryl, looking the part was half the fun, and she embraced each new interest with her own unmistakable sense of style. It was one of her many endearing qualities and a reflection of the personality and playful spirit she brought to everything she did.
Cheryl also loved cooking and sharing her favorite recipes with family and friends. Her famous Oreo dessert became a much-loved tradition, eagerly anticipated at gatherings and remembered as one of her signature specialties. She found as much pleasure in preparing something special as she did in watching others enjoy it.
Travel was another of Cheryl’s great joys. She loved exploring new places, whether traveling across the country or enjoying a getaway closer to home. From Florida and South Carolina to Hawaii and beyond, she welcomed every opportunity for a new adventure. While the beach always held a special place in her heart, what mattered most was the company she kept. Wherever her family and friends gathered, Cheryl was happiest making memories, sharing laughter, and enjoying the journey together.
She was also a proud Ohio State Buckeyes fan who enjoyed cheering on her favorite team. Football season brought its own excitement and another opportunity to gather with loved ones, celebrate a touchdown, and share a little good-natured enthusiasm for the scarlet and gray.
Perhaps what made Cheryl most special was the way she embraced life and the people around her. She was warmhearted, spirited, and genuinely interested in others. She valued her friendships deeply, gave generously of her time, and brought a wonderful sense of fun to every occasion. Whether welcoming guests into her home, volunteering alongside friends, or planning her next adventure, Cheryl had a way of making those around her feel included, appreciated, and loved.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Greg Jordan; her beloved son, Andrew Jordan, and his wife, Kinga; and her cherished granddaughter, Penelope Jordan. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Casto (Greg) and Marla Moss (Bill); her brother, Jim Hall; her sister-in-law, Joyce Halverson; her brother-in-law, Dewey Jordan; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Hall and Della Jean Hall, and a brother, Delmar Jay Hall.
Family will receive friends from 12pm-2pm on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at Tidd Funeral Home in Hilliard, Ohio; where a Celebration of Life service will follow at 2pm. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share favorite stories, remember the moments that made Cheryl so special, and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of cherished friendships, family traditions, and countless happy memories. She will be remembered in the laughter around a family table, the excitement of a Buckeyes Saturday, the sweetness of her famous Oreo dessert, and the stories that will continue to be shared by those who knew and loved her.
Cheryl made life a little more joyful, every gathering a little more memorable, and the world around her a little brighter. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the happiness she brought to others will remain a lasting part of her beautiful legacy.
