Charlotte L. Ward

Charlotte Louise Ward, 92, of Hilliard, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Charlotte was born in Columbus, Ohio, on April 15, 1933 to the late Boyd R. and Ella L. (Holbein) Hover. Charlotte was married to her husband, Robert F. Ward of 59 years until his passing.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathleen (Robert) Lyons and Marilyn (Richard) Halfhill; her brothers, Robert (Joy) Hover and Kenneth (Pat) Hover; her daughters, Lisa Ward and Connie Legg; and her grandson, Scott Wallace. She is survived by her sisters, Phyllis (Charlie) VanArsdale and Dorothy Bolin; her sons, David (Sherry) Ward and James (Cindy) Ward; her grandchildren Greg (Jaime) Wallace, Matt (Heather) Ward, Zach (Carrie) Ward, Brandon Boggs, Kristina Ward, Kevin Ward and Danielle (Grant) Bell, as well as many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was a faithful Christian and member of Hilliard Church of the Nazarene. She will be remembered as a gifted caretaker and kindhearted person who always put others needs before her own. She loved gathering with her friends and family, and always made sure there was plenty of food. Her specialty was homemade noodles and sugar cookies at the family reunions. She enjoyed going to garage sales and flea markets as well as camping with her husband in their RV.

We will always carry Charlotte’s memory in our hearts and find comfort in knowing that she is at peace in heaven.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 10am-12pm at Hilliard Church of the Nazarene, 3669 Leap Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 12pm. Interment Alton Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
