Charles Gloeckner

Charles Robert Gloeckner, age 94, of Hilliard, passed away December 2, 2020. Member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. US Navy Veteran who served in the South Pacific WWII. Retired from the Department of Ohio Taxation after 30 years of service. Chuck was a member of American Legion William R. Schnug Memorial Post 614 Hilliard and Hilliard Optimist Club. He was an avid O.S.U. fan and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by parents Karl and Margaret Gloeckner. Survived by loving wife of 72 years Patricia, children Vickie Lee Gloeckner, Charles Clay Gloeckner and Robert Thomas (Rebecca) Gloeckner, grandchildren Jonathan (Jennifer) Gloeckner, Ashley Gloeckner, Jake (Amber) Wells, Dee (Bill) Wells and Grant (Renata) Weaver, great grandchildren Lexi, Hudson, Lydia, Kendell, Hayden, Emerson, Aurora and Howard, a host of loving relatives and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to the VA Home Health Care and the Ohio Health Hospice staff for their loving care of Chuck. Family will receive friends 10-11am Monday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 4026; where funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 614 or the American Heart Association.  Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, Social Distancing will be observed and guests are required to wear a facial covering in the Funeral Home.
