Charles Ray Dunnagan

Charles Ray Dunnagan, age 87, passed away on August 27, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. Born February 18, 1938 in Ashland, Kentucky to Willard and Inez Dunnagan. Charles was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He has left his family a legacy of faith, family, and acts of kindness toward others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Inez Dunnagan, step-mother Arbutus Dunnagan, his first grandchild Nathan Luke Stephens, siblings Katherine Dunnagan, Willard Dunnagan, Janet Bruhn, Randy Dunnagan, and David Dunnagan. Charles is survived by his devoted wife and girlfriend of 69 years Glenda; children: DeeAnn (Henry) Stephens, Tony (Joy) Dunnagan; grandchildren: Lauren (Nate) Herndon, Danielle Dunnagan, Derek (Olivia) Dunnagan; great-grandchildren: Lucy Pearl Herndon and Tatum Rae Dunnagan. He is also survived by his siblings: Joyce Silverman, Annette (Stewart) Wildman, Kevin (Barb) Dunnagan, Sheila Hutchins, and sister-in-law Beth Dunnagan.

Charles had a work ethic that was unparalleled. He worked in construction most of his life and built his own company, Commercial & Industrial Maintenance Company, where he worked from 1975 until he retired in 2008.

A long-time member of The Church Next Door, Charles served faithfully using his talents for fixing things and helping others. Charles loved making canes to help people and he has given out several of those canes around Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Visitation will be held from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2025 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722 where his funeral will take place at 11:00a.m. SATURDAY with Pastor Doyle Jackson, officiating.
