Carol C. Nance, age 91, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 in Monterey Care Center in Grove City. She was born October 9, 1918 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio; daughter of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth (Groves) Cartwright, Sr.
She was a retired Secretary for the State of Ohio Mental Health. She was a lover of dogs having had many pets over the years.
Preceded in death by husband, William Nance (7-13-85); sister, Eva (Rueben) Russell, two brothers, Benjamin, Jr. and James W. Cartwright.
Survived by several nieces & a nephew; Niece & Guardian, Debbie and husband Gerald Oyler of Grove City.
A Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon until time of service. Rev. James Blankenship officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery.
