Candy L. Tompkins (62) passed away at the Riverside Hospital in Columbus, OH on September 8, 2022. She was born July 24, 1960 in Marysville, OH to Tracy E. and Opal Lucille (Sollars) Deleon. She is survived by her husband Michael Tompkins; her children Kevin Wilson, Brian Wilson, Elizabeth Wilson and David and Erica Tompkins; her grandchildren Carter, Parker, Noah, Myles, Christina and Amanda; and her siblings Deirdre Bogner, Cassandra Boyer, Gerald Deleon, Teresa Mattox, Melissa Stenger and Charles Deleon. Candy was preceded in death by her parents, her son Benjamin Deleon, and her brother and sister-in-law Keith and Claire Deleon.
Candy, before she became disabled, cared for children in her own daycare business. She was a lover of traveling, waterfalls, snow and bears. She was crazy for OSU Buckeyes football. She could be heard cheering them on before you could get in the house! Candy was well know for her sweet and candid humor. Her memories are wonderful and she will be missed deeply.
The family will receive friends to the Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St in Hilliard, OH on Thursday, September 15, 2022. There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 am and a life celebration service will be at 11:00 am with a burial following at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in West Jefferson. Services entrusted to Tidd Funeral Home, Hilliard, OH.
