BRUCE EDWARD TAYLOR, 74, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Born September 18, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, to Robert and Wilma Taylor.
Bruce is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Carol Ann Taylor; their three sons, Frank, Joey, and Dan Taylor, his brother, Bill Nunamaker; his sister, Tamera Nunamaker; several nieces and nephews; and Cloe, his faithful dog. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Taylor Nunamaker; father, Robert Taylor; stepfather, James Nunamaker; sister, Sandra Taylor Schneider; brother-in-law, Charles Troutman; sister-in-law, Susan Troutman Osborne; father-in-law, Damon Troutman; and mother-in-law, Francine Troutman.
Bruce proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Seoul, Korea. He received an honorable discharge in 1971. He was employed as an X-ray Inspector with CVI in Hilliard and later retired.
Bruce was a devoted husband, father, and brother who never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He served for several years as a volunteer firefighter with the Norwich Township Fire Department in Hilliard. An avid nature lover, Bruce enjoyed walking and hiking parks and nature trails throughout Ohio with his wife, Carol, and their beloved dog, Cloe. He also had a deep appreciation for Native American heritage and enjoyed collecting arrowheads and other artifacts.
Cremation arrangements were by Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio. A Celebration of Life serice will be held at a later date.
