Beth Latella

Beth Nall Latella, Hilliard Ohio Passed away at home in the loving care of her husband Frank M Latella after a long battle with Cancer. Beth was raised in Perrysville Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Colleen Nall. She is survived by her sisters Sally Jo Aten, Stephanie Nall, her brothers Alan Nall and Barry Nall. Beth was preceded in death by her daughter Elyse D Latella. Beth’s education included a BA in Music Therapy from Ohio University, an MA in Music performance from The Ohio State University and MSEd in Social Agency Counseling from the University of Dayton. During her career years Beth was a member of Solutions counseling team in Dublin Ohio, and worked for 18 years prior to that in Ross and Pike County Community Health Centers as clinic director and counselor. As a Music Therapist she worked with United Cerebral Palsy of Columbus, Harding Hospital, and Mansfield General Hospital working with psychiatric and developmentally delayed adults. Beth’s scope of practice at Solutions Counseling included mental health and substance abuse counseling with adults, families, children and teens. When not working Beth was an avid bicycle rider and Quilter. She took time to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, traveling in and out of State. Beth volunteered in several soup kitchens in downtown Columbus. Beth was also the planner and organizer for Hilliard United Methodist Church Wednesday evening community dinners that was promoted through the food bank and senior citizen groups. She was active in Church leadership of the Hilliard Farm Market through HUMC, as well as Quilts for Moms2Be a citywide organization to reduce infant mortality rates. Beth was also the recipient of the Sunny 95 Hometown Hero award February 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hilliard Food Bank. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
