Benjamin Lee Anderson

July 8, 1979 — April 30, 2024

Hilliard

It is with immense sadness that we inform you of the sudden and untimely passing of our beloved
Benjamin. Benjamin Lee Anderson of Hilliard, OH passed away unexpectedly on April 30 th , 2024, his
family and friends are all very deeply saddened by his sudden death.

He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Anderson; his children Payton Dallas Anderson and Amree Lee Anderson and forever remembered by his sister Shanna Barlow (Anderson), her husband Kyle Barlow, and his nephew Nicholas Barlow. Benjamin is loved and remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends as well.

He was preceded in his death by his father Michael Lee Anderson of Fort Wayne, IN, his grandparents Marian Fleeger and Robert Fleeger of New Castle, PA and grandparents Martha Anderson and Richard Anderson also from Fort Wayne, IN.

Ben was born in Fort Wayne, IN, grew up in near-by Woodburn, IN until 8th grade, then moved with his mother and sister to Hilliard, OH in 1993 where he remained, building a loving family and amazing life.  His children were his deepest source of joy, he cherished every moment with his children, they were the single, most important people in his life, and what he was most proud of. He loved them beyond words, and tried very hard to ensure they always knew the depth of his love.

From his youth, and throughout his adulthood Benjamin enjoyed working with his hands. He was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed building & fixing everything, whether it be an appliance, plumbing, framing houses or repairing cars; he was a jack of all trades. His heart and generosity knew no bounds, had no limits, and he was ALWAYS the first person to lend a helping hand to a friend or stranger.  Benjamin was a deeply generous and giving soul who always put the needs of others first. Helping others gave him immense joy and deep sense of purpose.

Ben had many passions including fishing, golf, camping, and kayaking, and he is known to have spent long hours trying to reel in the biggest catch or master that perfect golf swing; he LOVED nature.  Benjamin’s favorite holiday was the 4th of July because if he had the chance to “blow stuff up”, he took it, but the one thing that surpassed all his passions was sharing those passions, experiences and the making memories with everyone that he loved, and that list is very long.

Benjamin Lee Anderson leaves us all better people having been blessed with his presence, his generosity and
his huge, huge, loving heart.
