Barry S. Durham

Barry Durham, 70, of Dublin, Ohio, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away at home on August 30, 2026.

Barry was a graduate of Deer Park High School, Class of 1974. Throughout his career, he worked for General Motors and was a member of UAW Local 674. He was also a co-owner of Bull Run Glass Studio before later retiring from DHL Shipping.

Barry had a wide range of interests and a curiosity about the world. He was an avid collector of records, art, and glass paperweights, and an audiophile who loved music and sharing it with those close to him. He knew how to relax and was content settled into his chair with the remote. He had a particular appreciation for movies of all genres, from the original classic monster movies to ridiculous comedies and crime dramas. He loved history, science and was fascinated by life's biggest mysteries.

Barry appreciated great food and loved a good cheeseburger. He took pride in growing the best tomatoes and making an excellent pot of chili. He was known to enjoy his coffee during introspective moments, taking time to reflect on memories and the people he loved.

Most of all, Barry enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially liked watching his grandchildren take part in their many activities and being there to share the moments that mattered. His family encouraged him to travel and, perhaps begrudgingly at times, he had adventures to places including Gatlinburg, the Bahamas, Hilton Head, and Disney World.

Barry was a beloved father to his daughter, Amy, and her husband, Matt, and to his son, Jason, and his wife, Lindsey. He was a proud grandfather to Amy and Matt's daughter, Miriam, and to Jason and Lindsey's children, Zoey and Archer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quentin Durham, and Marie and David Keller.

Barry leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and will carry forward his memory and the many life lessons he shared. He will be greatly missed, forever loved, and remembered in all the small moments that made him who he was.

A private burial service will be held with immediate family, and a celebration of life is planned for a future date.
