Barbara Ann Haladej

Barbara Ann (Brown) Haladej, 94, passed away on February 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and many exceptional caregivers at Kobacker House, Columbus, Ohio. Barbara was born on June 29, 1931, in Athens, Ohio to Edward Lee (1880-1949) and Agnes Ann Brown (1897-1976).

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Lee Hogan and Barbara Crabtree, and especially by beloved son-in-law, Jay Crabtree. She is also survived by dearly loved grandchildren Richard (Christine) Carpenter and Jennifer

(Clayton) Wells. She will be remembered as a loyal friend, neighbor and coworker of many, and a cherished aunt of her many nieces, nephews and grands.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Andrew Paul Haladej, his children, as well as each her 6 siblings: Paul, Raymond, William, Charles, Daisy, Christine, and Betty. Until her passing, Barbara remained close to, and loved her many long telephone conversations with, her only surviving sister-in-law, Sandra (William) Brown.

Barbara’s life was honored with a private, graveside service held on March 14, at Glenrest Cemetery, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, followed by a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kobacker House (NKA OhioHealth Hospice House), 800 McConnell Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43213.
