Arthur Rossi

Feb 23, 1947 — Sep 27, 2026

Arthur Rossi, 79, passed away peacefully September 27, with his family by his side, at The Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center, after a 15 year battle with dementia. Born February 23, 1947, Art was a beloved identical twin, son, husband, father, step-father and Papaw. Art is preceded in death by his parents, Art and Edna Rossi and granddaughter Bella. Art is survived by his devoted wife Nina; his children Steven (grandson Nick) and Annette (granddaughter Olivia); Andrew Lendavic (Lisa), step-son and step-grandchildren Drew, Roman and McCoy. Also survived by his identical twin brother, Albert, and sister, Sandi Rockwell (AJ). Also many cousins, several nieces, special niece, Misty Cutler, and nephews. After Art graduated from North High School in 1965, he served his country in the United States Air Force. After an honorable discharge, Art had several jobs in Security before he joined the City of Columbus Police Department and served on the first Special Weapons and Tactical (SWAT) team in Columbus. After leaving the Police Department, he started Decks of Art building beautiful decks, fences and screened porches. He also worked as a Security Officer at the Federal Building in downtown Columbus; then started his own security company, Confidential Security. After selling that company he worked several years selling ADT Security Systems before retiring. Art loved God and his family with all his heart. He loved to cook and having everyone over for a meal, especially chicken cacciatore! He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Italian food (all food really!), his beloved English Mastiff, Linc, and his retirement companion rescue dog, Winston. Per the family’s wishes there will be a private service and celebration of life held at a later date. Even though his disease robbed us of better days with him, his family will forever cherish so many wonderful memories of happier times, and he will be kept in our hearts forever. Special thanks to the Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center and the wonderful, kind staff. We are so grateful for their help. Also, his Suncrest Hospice Care team.
