Arthur Huffman Sr.

d. September 16, 2021

Arthur Eugene Huffman Sr., 85, passed away at St. Ann’s hospital on September 16, 2021. Art was born in Brighton, West Virginia on June 25, 1936 and moved to central Ohio in 1954 after graduating from Pt. Pleasant High School. He married and had two children, Arthur Jr. and Virginia. In 1967, Art married the love of his life, Judy née Vance. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary earlier this year. Together, they raised three children, Holly Yee (Jim Moorman), Tina Wehrle, and Eric Huffman (Kristi) while building a life together. Art loved his children, never really wanting them to grow up. He was a fan of their softball teams, dance teams, the band and was a t-ball coach. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and taking his family on vacations. He never turned down a game of neighborhood wiffle ball in the front yard. He was an avid fan of the Reds, Bengals, and WWE.

He worked at Armstrong Furnace as a tool and die specialist for over 30 years. He never missed a day of work. He followed that career with 20 years at Banner Tool & Die. He retired in 1998.

Papaw loved to tease but always did it with a grin. His 10 grandkids: (Chelsea Huffman Joshua Wehrle, Aaron Huffman, Zachary Wehrle (Liz Harriman), Nicholas Wehrle, Cody Huffman (Jessie), Olivia Moorman, Casadi Huffman, Emilie Moorman, and Abigail Wehrle) loved him as much as he adored them. He was also blessed with a great grandson, Jamison Huffman. He was very proud and happy to celebrate every one of their accomplishments.

He is survived by his wife Judy and their family, brother Herschel Huffman and sister Betty (Eddie) Mayes, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mattie née Taylor, brother Raymond, nephew Earl Wayne Keister, and sisters Sylvia, Garnett, and Freida.

We owe a debt of gratitude to the caregivers at St. Ann’s which can never be repaid. Thank you so very much.

It is with heavy hearts that we go on. Life is forever changed.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 12:30pm-2:30pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where memorial service will follow at 2:30pm.
