Anita L. Telfer

Anita Telfer passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026 in Hilliard, Ohio at the age of 84. Anita was born in 1941 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Audry Taynor and Albert Heckman, and lived her entire life in and around Columbus. A graduate of South High School, Anita went on to earn her Nursing degree from Capital University, and later earned a Masters of Theological Studies from Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University. In 1963, Anita married the love of her life, Robert Telfer, to whom she was married for 39 years until his passing. She was passionate throughout her life about Old Trinity Lutheran Church and her faith, family, friends, service to others and her flamingo collection. Anita was preceded in death by her parents and husband, and is survived by her sons, Mark (spouse Renee) and Randy (spouse April), and her cherished grandchildren, Andrew (spouse Melany), Maisha, Marlow, and Amalia.               Family will receive friends Tuesday, March 17 from 10:30am-12:30pm at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026, followed by a service at 12:30pm.  Burial will follow immediately after the service at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.                                         The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, you may donate to Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society), https://bloodcancerunited.org/.
