Angela "Angie" R. Meadows

Angela Rose Meadows, 65, of Columbus, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2024. 

Angie was born on March 21, 1959, in Virginia to the late Elizabeth (Powers) Epling and Billy Epling. In her early years, her family relocated to Beckley, West Virginia where she later met her spouse, Wayne, and they started their family.  With three children, Angie settled her family in Columbus, Ohio in the mid-1980’s to find better economic opportunities. 

She worked at Meijer, first on Georgesville Road and later Rome-Hilliard Road, for over 20 years until her retirement. Angie’s gift of gab extended far beyond her family and friends to touch her customers, colleagues, and even outright strangers! She left her legacy in the stories she told. 

Angie was a devoted Nana to all her grandkids, biological and otherwise. She did not miss a birthday event or special occasion. She tried to fill the huge shoes left by the family patriarch, “Popaw”, and continue family traditions and celebrations. She was extremely proud of her children and bragged on them, embarrassingly, to everyone. Her greatest joy can be described in a single word: family. 

Please continue to honor Angie by looking to the sky and telling her all about your day. She would love that. If you listen closely, you may still hear her…talking. 

Angie was predeceased by her father Billy (2015), and her mother Elizabeth (2021). 

She is survived by her husband, Wayne, children, Shannon Epling, Mark (Leah) Meadows, and Kristan Meadows; siblings, Jackie (Paul) Sells, Greg Epling, Georgia (Mike) Stetson; grandchildren, Dylan Harris, Bryce Meadows, and Savannah Meadows. She is also survived by her bonus family, the Stephensons, Tiffani, PJ, Chloye, Trinity, Payton, Noah, Willow, and Lincoln. 

The pallbearers will be Greg Epling, Paul Sells, Mike Stetson, Brent Harper, Michael Stetson, PJ Stephenson, Kyron Austin, and Marshall Harris. 

Family will receive friends from 11am-1pm Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
