Alan McPherson

Alan McPherson, age 54, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. He was born in Athens, Ohio on July 20, 1970, to Ronald and Carol (Dorr) McPherson.

Alan graduated from The Ohio State University in 1993 with his bachelor's degree in business with an MIS minor, which led him to many roles in the Information Technology sector. He ended his career in early 2024 as an IT Manager at AEP (American Electric Power).

Alan was passionate about music, especially the guitar. He loved anything from classic rock, to big hair bands to classical pieces, but there was nothing he was more passionate about than being a dad. He coached his son in soccer, travel baseball, and travel ice hockey. He was also the best "cheer dad" to his daughter who was a competitive cheerleader. Alan will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love him.

He is proceeded in death by his sister, Jenny McPherson.

Alan is survived by his parents, Ronald McPherson and Carol Dorr McPherson, his beloved wife, Wendy Pizzino McPherson and his children, Graham and Brooke McPherson.
