Founder / President
Born in Hilliard, Ohio, Rick founded the Tidd Funeral Home 1981. A 1970 graduate of Hilliard High School, 1973 graduate of Franklin University with an Associate Degree in Business Administration and 1974 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Rick leads his staff by example with a proven approach to caring and personal attention. Rick belongs and contributes to many organizations including:

Shelly Baird is the second family generation at Tidd Funeral Home. She graduated from Hilliard High School in 1994 and attended The Ohio Sate University graduating with Bachelor's degree in communications in 1998. Following graduation from Ohio State Shelly earned her Funeral Directors license and assumed an active role in the community and the family business. Shelly and her husband Steve have 3 children. Shelly is a member of the Hilliard United Methodist Church.
Funeral Director and Embalmer
United States Army Veteran. Married Ann (Reed) June 10, 1989. We have three children, Kylie Ann, Mackenna Reed, and Aidan Reese. I am a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the state of Ohio and a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute Mortuary Science where I received the William J. Musmanno Award for outstanding ability, attitude, commitment, and achievement in the clinical setting in 1992. I have enjoyed numerous activities in my profession serving as past President and Treasurer of Summit County Funeral Directors Association, member of Ohio Funeral Directors Association, disaster team and past policy board member. Also a member of Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team responding to past disasters; September 11, 2001, hurricane Katrina and Rita in Louisiana, base camp St. Gabriel and while attending mortuary school assisted with the crash of U.S. Air Flt. #427 in Aliquippa, PA. I joined the Tidd Funeral Home in June of 2001.

Dale began his career in the funeral industry in 1978 with Old Colonial Funeral Home, located in Louisville, KY. Dale is a licensed, Ohio Funeral Director and specializes in Advance Funeral Planning. Dale is a 30-year member of the Grace Brethren Church and is currently serving on the Board of Worthington Christian Schools. Dale has served as the pre-need specialist for Tidd Funeral Home since 2004.
Connie S. Lindsey
Manager of Porter-Tidd Funeral Home
Connie S. (Porter) Lindsey is acting Manager/Funeral Director of the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling. After raising her family she decided to follow in her father’s footsteps of 50 years of funeral service and her brother of 32 years. Professionally speaking, Connie has served the Mt. Sterling community for nearly 25 years and became licensed in 1990. Connie is pleased to represent this family owned funeral home in the same caring manner, with the same part time staff (Gary Liff and Morris Bayes, Jr), and with the Tidd family as a combined staff. Their facilities and personnel have much to offer. Rick D. Tidd and family took ownership of the Porter funeral home on February 13, 2008, creating the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home.
Angie Lenox-Davis is a lifelong Hilliard resident. She graduated from Hilliard High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from The Ohio State University. Angie has been with the funeral home for over 10 years and is currently working on the State of Ohio requirements to become a license funeral director. She also manages the office. Angie handles all the necessary documents when one loses a family member; along with helping the family file for Veteran and insurance paper work. She assists families in any way possible when a family loses a loved one. Angie and her husband Justin live in Dublin.
Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
Scott is a 3rd generation citizen of Hilliard. He is an Eagle Scout, and graduated with Honors from Hilliard Darby High School, Class of 2003, 3 months after graduating Magna Cum Laude with an Associate of Arts degree from Columbus State.
Scott already knew he wanted to have a career in the funeral industry, and immediately enrolled in the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science where he was one of only two students in his class to graduate Suma Cum Laude, and he also received the Dr. A.J. Nunnamaker Award for Highest Scholastic Standing, as well as the Ohio Crematory Operator’s Association Award for Scholastic Achievement within the Cremation Industry.
He served his Apprenticeship with the Tidd Funeral Home in 2005, and received his licenses in Funeral Directing and Embalming in 2006. He spent the next 8 years as an embalmer and funeral director for the O.R. Woodyard Co. Meanwhile, the Tidd Funeral Home continued to grow, which led to the opportunity in the beginning of 2014 to return and serve the Hilliard community once again. Since returning to the funeral home, Scott has brought new ideas and service offerings to the business. Including the production of Memorial Tribute Videos and the creation of the Tidd Family Funeral Home Facebook page.
Scott married his wife, Christine, in 2006 and lives in the Timberbrook Community of Hilliard. Christine works as an Early Childhood Education Teacher with Grove City Christian Childcare of the Grove City Church of the Nazarene. She is also a Civil War enthusiast and spends her free time as a reenacting member of the Columbus State House’s, 1st Ohio Light Artillery, Battery A. They have one daughter, Amanda, who was born in 2011, who also reenacts with Christine.
Scott is a percussionist, and has played with many groups throughout Central Ohio, including going on tour with the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra in China in 2005. They attend the Hilliard United Methodist Church, where Scott plays the drum set for the Sanctuary’s Praise and Worship Team.
